- Dave speculates that they're in a tank that's connected to the pit by an underground passage. No cell phone reception for these guys.
- The cell has a bed, a toilet, some books, and some shackles. Whatever lives here is human, and whatever was bleeding in that pit was human enough to blood Nina. Huh… Could it be a werewolf? Hey, vampires exist after all.
- They try to come up with a plan, but they don't have a lot of info to go on. That night is a full moon, which may or may not matter. Do werewolves turn back to humans at daylight, or at will? Are werewolf bites fatal to vampires, like in Underworld?
- Father Ramon argues against aggression. After all, maybe the person being held in the cell is a teenager—you know, like Harry Potter.
- Time passes. What if McKinnon doesn't come back until after sunrise? Nina and Dave will look dead. Father Ramon says he'll lie to McKinnon and say that he killed Nina and Dave to save himself if this happens.
- If McKinnon thinks Father Ramon has to cover up after the deaths, then maybe McKinnon will let Father Ramon drive off with the corpses. It's not like he'd go to the police to report McKinnon for running an illegal werewolf-fighting ring at that point, right?
- Nina tries to come up with a better plan, but she's still thinking when she blacks out at sunrise.
