- As sunrise approaches, they pull over to let Nina and Dave get into strapped-in sleeping bags in the van's closed-in rear. They black out at sunrise, and come alive again at sunset.
- Father Ramon lets them out of the van, and they all go into the motel room he's rented. Nina and Dave have guinea pigs for breakfast in the hotel bathroom.
- Next, Father Ramon says that he talked to the hotel receptionist to ask for directions to Wolgaroo Corner, where Barry McKinnon (the silver bullet buyer) lives.
- The receptionist gave Father Ramon a map to Barry's place and winked. So… something's up.
- Father Ramon also reveals that he went on a scouting trip there in the daytime, and found tons of cars parked around the property. Not old junkers either, but nice new cars. Is Barry hosting a giant party? Is he a drug dealer?
- They decide to go check it out, but call Nina's mom first. Sanford gets the report from Father Ramon, and then the trio heads out to Barry's place.
- Dave gives Nina a small bottle of homemade pepper spray in case they're attacked. She asks him if he would bite someone in self-defense, but they don't get a chance to discuss it before Father Ramon joins them for the car ride.
