- The vamps don't give Father Ramon permission to call the police—at least not until the whole group gets a chance to discuss it.
- The idea is that Father Ramon heard the McKinnons discussing their plans, and they'll be holed up at Nefley's place for a little while longer, so there's time.
- During the discussion, Nina is all about saving Reuben. Nobody else is, though, and only Bridget (the former nun) agrees that abandoning Reuben might be problematic.
- Horace starts saying that Nina only wants to rescue Reuben because she's in love with him, and Nina freaks out because she doesn't want Dave thinking that. Horace seems into the idea of rescuing Reuben from then on.
- Nina gets to thinking: The McKinnons think she and Dave are dead, so maybe they'd have surprise on their side. Then again, the McKinnons probably have a lot of guns, so there's that.
- Dave raises another point: The McKinnons grabbed his wallet, so they know where he lives. Because of this, maybe the vamps need to go after them, you know, out of self-preservation.
- During the discussion, Nina gets sick and goes to throw up. Horace sneaks into the bathroom and tells her that he's totally in on a plan to go rescue Reuben.
