- Nina gives us a fun little lesson about how vampires aren't especially afraid of garlic. It's just that garlic, like all human food, causes them cramps and other stomach issues—the only thing a vampire can digest is fresh blood.
- Thanks to Sanford's tinkering, though, Nina and her buds have access to an enzyme that lets them live off animal blood rather than human blood. They breed guinea pigs to eat, which ends up being messy.
- The mess is one reason Nina's mom, Estelle, isn't thrilled about having a house full of vampires.
- She lays down some ground rules about cleaning up bloodstains, sharing the bathroom, and sleeping in the basement.
- Nina takes Dave and Horace to her bedroom so they can use her computer to do some Internet searching. Horace is snarky and annoying as usual.
- Soon they find an American dealer of silver bullets, and Dave decides to see if he can obtain their customer list. Turns out a few of their Australian countrymen have been ordering silver bullets. Hmm…
- None of the local silver-bullet-buyers are answering their phones, so they start talking about the guy in Cobar (Barry McKinnon), a day's drive away, who ordered one hundred silver bullets. But his phone number isn't listed. What to do?
- They decide to send another message to Fangseeker to see if this turns anything up, and then they all watch 30 Days of Night to try to get some insight into the killer's mind.
