The Water That Burns
- The next morning, Einar goes to the office and opens up to find Wolff waiting for him.
- Einar feels a bit nervous, but there's no reason to be, because the guy just wants his gold weighed and measured.
- While he's working, Einar notices his buddy Figges has a gun underneath the desk, just waiting for an excuse to use it.
- Einar's so nervous that he accidentally spills some acid while he's working. He goes to clean his hands—luckily he didn't make too much of a mess—and when the process is done, he tells Wolff the gold is only about ten percent pure. Better luck next time.
- Einar suggests Wolff cash out the gold, but he'd rather not since it's not worth much.
- Just when Einar thinks the whole thing is over, Wolff asks if he can stay and watch—he's fascinated by the process and wants to see them at work.
