Samson is kind of weirdo, right? Just kidding, he's just a young kid who manages to seem wise despite needing some adult supervision.
Samson's special gift seems to be calming people down, which comes in handy in a story where there are a lot of emotional people. He may not technically have his savvy yet, but this is definitely a gift he possesses.
Samson is a bit of a silent ghost, crawling into hiding spaces and only once or twice speaking up for something he needs. But what that really makes Samson stand out from the crowd is how observant he is—while other people are talking or carrying on, Samson is taking it all in.
He shows how observant he is when he's trapped in Carlene's crawl space. Though Samson was never told directly what Mibs's savvy is, he figures it out by paying close attention, which pretty much saves the day when he's trapped inside the wall with only a pen to alert Mibs to his whereabouts. Again we are reminded that there is more to people than meets the eye… even if that person is pretty easy not to notice.
