Two Committees
- So the truth comes out.
- Bobby can't deal with Alicia getting the third degree from her dad, so he starts talking to him. Since he's a professor, he starts theorizing about what could be going on as well. Then he tells Alicia's mom.
- Leave it to a mom to worry about Bobby's nakedness when he's hanging out with her daughter.
- On Saturday afternoon, Bobby is even invited over to Alicia's house, like he's just a normal friend. Her mom lets him in, but gives him a robe to wear so that he's not stark naked around her teenage daughter.
- Bobby expects his dad to be furious that he told other people, but when he calls him, he seems kind of relieved that he'll have other people to talk to about his son's condition.
- Two weeks later, his dad finally comes home from the hospital. As soon as he gets back, he throws himself into studying a huge stack of books and scientific articles. There's got to be something here that can shed light on Bobby's situation.
- And Bobby finds that he's talking to Alicia a lot now. They talk on the phone and instant message constantly; he's never really talked a lot to a girl before her, and he finds that it's nice.
- Even with Dr. Van Dorn (Alicia's dad) on board, they don't make a lot of headway when it comes to solving the mystery of why Bobby went invisible. Bobby starts to write down everything he can remember about the two days before it happened.
- They're also starting to run out of time because Bobby's school keeps calling about him missing so much school. They say that they need a note from the doctor about his illness… which of course, they don't have.
- After three weeks, the Department of Children and Family Services is called, which is very bad news.
