- The next dude to arrive is Mr. Oswald, a scholar writing a book on the palace gardens; he's actually kinda nice.
- After him is Mr. Penbrook, who obviously has a big crush on Azalea, but she ditches him in the labyrinth inside the garden, annoyed at how much he's fawning over her.
- Azalea spends the time without him searching for the sugar teeth—time is running out to help Keeper.
- More gentlemen come to court Azalea, but she doesn't really like any of them; her sisters tease her about how handsome and dashing Keeper is.
- One dude, the Viscount Duquette, actually comes to court Clover, since she's the most beautiful of the sisters—but she's also underage, so the King throws him out.
- The next guest is Fairweller. Which is weird, because no one really likes him, but he apparently volunteered to come so that the girls could spend some time outside.
- When they ask Fairweller why he's doing this, he says it's obvious that they've found a magic passage, and he's trying to look out for them. Even so though, the girls are really obnoxious to Fairweller, so he eventually leaves.
- But there's another unwelcome guest: Viscount Duquette is back to court Clover… which means, if necessary, coercing her into a union. She manages to slip into the trees before he finds the girls.
- Luckily Fairweller is still nearby, and tells Duquette that Clover has gone with her father to a speech two kingdoms away—Fairweller is even nice enough to hook up Duquette with a carriage to take him there, too. See ya, mister.
