- So there's a magic passage in their room. Azalea uses her mom's silver handkerchief to open it, and she enters an arched doorway, climbing down the stairs in front of her. The silver teeth tag along.
- It's no surprise when her sisters catch up with her. Clover's got a lamp, thankfully, so they can see the eerie silver forest that they're stepping into; they walk down a path, then cross an arched bridge over a pool into a pavilion.
- The pavilion is filled with dancers—yippee—so the girls creep up to watch. The dancers seem hollow, like they're made of magic, but there's a dashing gentleman all in black who definitely seems real.
- One of the littler girls, Ivy, can't help herself and sneaks up to the buffet table. The dancers all begin to scream, Azalea dashes up and grabs Ivy, and the girls make a run for the bridge.
- The gentleman asks them to stop, but when they don't, he dips a gloved hand into the water, and the water surges up, stranding the girls in the middle of the bridge.
- He apologizes for frightening them, bows, and says that this is the first time he's seen real people since the High King D'Eathe.
