Character Analysis
We don't have much to say about Leck's soldiers except that much like the sheep in Animal Farm, they serve as mouthpieces for their leader, blindly repeating his words and messages until they are heard and believed far and wide.
Of course, Leck's soldiers aren't just daft, like the sheep, and they aren't acting irresponsibly, either. Their ability to question anything Leck says is compromised because of his Grace. But they do show us very clearly the danger of becoming a mouthpiece for anyone else, and the importance of questioning authority when you have the power to do so. Because anything said often enough begins to take on a ring of truth, and that's dangerous.
