- All of the soldiers just left Dread's body to rot in the streets, figuring Shorty could die out there, too.
- But Manman wasn't having any of it. She picked up Shorty's body and carried it over to the reporters on the side of the street.
- She told them how the soldiers shot her son and killed Dread, and pleaded with them for help.
- Shorty needs help. He's shot in the leg, and the wound needs to be fixed, she told the reporters, anxiously.
- Meanwhile, the reporters turned on their cameras and started asking the soldiers questions. Like, did you shoot this kid? Why did you leave him for dead? Can you confirm Dread is killed?
- Shorty knows his mom doesn't care about the news or getting famous; she's only interested in getting him to a doctor to take a look at his leg.
- Finally someone radios to the soldiers and tells them to let Manman and Shorty through the police barricade to get to the hospital.
- As they push past the reporters, all the soldiers uncomfortably shrug off their questions.
