Second Day Back in School—Tuesday
- Over breakfast, Vera asks her dad when he thinks that her mom stopped loving him. He says he's not sure she ever did stop, and Vera understands—she doesn't think Charlie ever stopped loving her either.
- She also tells her dad about the man who opened the door with his penis out. Immediately her dad gets upset and tells her that she should have called the police.
- Vera calls her dad out on his hypocrisy: All that time he told her to ignore what was going on next door at the Kahn household, and to not call the police, but now he wants to call the cops because of this?
- She leaves for school, filled with regret. Maybe if she had called the police when she was younger, Charlie wouldn't be dead today.
