How It All Goes Down
Puck
- Tommy Falk drives them to the Grattons's house.
- Finn starts washing his hands over and over and over again, a nervous tic brought on by losing Puffin. At least he doesn't read comic books.
- Peg makes everyone feel at home, and Puck realizes that Gabe has been staying there those nights he doesn't come home.
- In the dark, Gabe finally admits to Puck that he just can't bear staying on the island. Everything that Puck loves about living there—the house, the horses, the sea—he hates.
- Puck doesn't quite understand it, but she's glad he told her.
