In Just Listen, the characters come to know themselves and take a great deal of comfort in art. Owen is music-obsessive and finds his true form of expression through the radio station where he has a show. Kristen and Whitney are able to finally communicate their complicated feelings toward each other through their respective art forms—film and writing. And even Annabel enjoys putting together her own music show by the end, no longer second guessing her taste and opinions the way she used to. We repeatedly see characters expressing through art the feelings that they cannot put into words.
