- During the last lunch before Christmas break, Annabel is hiding out in the library when Emily comes looking for her.
- She gives Annabel the contact information for her lawyer, and tells her that telling her story at the trial might help convict Will so that he doesn't do it again.
- Then she says she's sorry, which surprises Annabel because she's been wanting to say sorry to Emily for not doing anything after her rape and for not warning Emily.
- Annabel sits in the library after Emily has left and sobs for the first time in years. She just cries and cries, letting out all those pent-up emotions.
- Later on she goes to the bathroom and sees Clarke in there. Clarke asks her if she's okay and says that Owen has been asking about Annabel.
- Clarke also reveals that she doesn't hate Annabel; she was just hurt and angry with Annabel for ditching her. She also says that she's kind of dating Rolly. Yay.
- Clarke also gives Annabel her phone number and tells her that if she needs to talk about anything, Clarke will be there for her. She's turned out to be a way better friend than Sophie ever was.
- When the family goes to pick up Kristen from the airport, she's surprisingly less talkative. It seems like she's gotten a handle on how to communicate without talking their ears off.
- They get home and eat their meal, which Whitney made for everyone; afterwards Whitney says she's going to the coffee shop and invites her sisters along.
- At the coffee shop, they meet up with Whitney's friends from Moira Bell's group. It's an open mic night and Whitney gets up to read.
- She reads a story about the time she broke her arm on Annabel's birthday, and how Kristen came back to get her and rode her back home on her handlebars. It's about how she wasn't always sure about her place in the family, but now she's okay with being the middle sister.
