- Telling her family is harder than telling Owen, but Annabel perseveres and doesn't stop, even though Kristen cries and her parents look upset. The whole time she looks at Whitney, who seems like the strongest one.
- Contrary to what she thought was going to happen, her mother remains calm and sits there to comfort her. Her father goes to call the lawyer and they all gather around to support Annabel.
- The next day they drive to the courthouse as a family. When Annabel arrives though, she doesn't seem Owen outside like he promised he'd be. He isn't inside either. She does see Emily and her parents, though.
- When she gets up to testify, she finally looks at Will Cash and sees that he has a black eye. Gee, wonder where that came from…
- Annabel testifies against Will and goes outside with her parents, who suggest that they go to get some lunch. When she walks outside though, she sees Owen waiting for her.
- He apologizes for not being there and says that he got held up because he was in trouble with his mom. Annabel puts two-and-two together and realizes that he is probably the reason that Will Cash came into court with a black eye.
- Owen admits that he punched Will Cash outside the club the night before. Even though he wasn't arrested, he still told his mom about it (since he's unfailingly honest) and is now grounded.
- Annabel doesn't care—she's just glad that he's here. They kiss again.
