- Okay. Back to high school.
- When it's lunchtime Annabel has no one to sit with—Sophie's hanging out with Emily, another Lakeview Model who Annabel used to be friends with.
- Annabel ends up sitting on the wall where Clarke (her former best friend) and Owen are sitting. Annabel is nervous to be next to Owen because word on the street is that Owen's been arrested for getting into fights.
- When Clarke sees Annabel look at her, she gets off the wall and walks away. Ouch.
- As lunch is ending, Annabel turns and sees Will Cash—Sophie's boyfriend. Her stomach drops and she feels sick. Huh.
- When Annabel gets home, her mom wants her to go to a go-see for a brand called Mooshka Surfwear. Annabel's not really in the mood, but her mom makes her feel guilty and so she agrees to it.
- All the Greene girls have modeled—Kristen was the first one (as the oldest), and Whitney (the one with more model potential) followed. Their mom has relied on taking care of the girls' modeling careers to keep her depression at bay ever since her own mother died. No pressure or anything, though.
- Annabel is afraid of disappointing her mother because she saw how bad it was when her mom was deep in the throes of depression. That's why she doesn't want to tell her mom that she wants to quit modeling, especially because she's the only daughter left modeling now.
- Her mom and older sister Whitney—who's acting moody because of her eating disorder—take Annabel to her go-see and she heads in, even though it's the last thing she wants to do.
