- At Bailey's house, Shaun and Jason say hi to Bailey's mom before rushing inside. Bailey's mom knows something is up since Shaun never greets her politely like that.
- When she asks about it, Bailey explains that his friend Lane is coming over to study, so maybe they can go in his dad's office while he and Jason play video games.
- Phew. Kiriel knows Bailey's trying to come through for him, but it doesn't work.
- Bailey's mom sees right through the plan and tells them that Shaun and Lane can stay in the living room to work—there's more room out there and Bailey's dad doesn't like them in his office anyway. (Besides, we suspect she knows what's up).
- Kiriel's disappointed, but at least his buddy tried for him.
- When Lane arrives, she gets out her Geometry book and starts quizzing Shaun on what he knows.
- It turns out he doesn't need math help. She wants to know why she's there, since it's obvious he doesn't want to talk about the Pythagorean Theorem or anything.
- He explains to her that he thinks she's beautiful, which she thinks is a joke—she knows she's no looker, and she wishes he wouldn't make fun of her like this.
- Kiriel insists he's being serious, though, and tells her that he thinks she has the most gorgeous hair and eyes he's ever seen.
- Just then, Bailey's mom walks in to see what's happening, so Kiriel asks her for some back up in telling Lane she's beautiful. She agrees.
- Then Lane says they're done studying, but Kiriel invites her to hang out with them some more.
- She looks through Bailey's mangas while he and Jason play video games. Then she and Shaun talk for a bit about them.
- Bailey tells Lane she can borrow some mangas if she wants, so she picks out a few and takes them home.
- Before she goes, though, she tells Shaun she had a good time.
- He thinks he just needs one more day to seal the deal.
