- Grace remembers the time wolves attacked her in her backyard and almost ate her.
- She describes the smells of the wolves as “pleasant and terrifying” (1.1). In fact, the way Grace describes the whole attack makes it seem like getting eaten by wolves wouldn't be that bad. Maybe we'll try it tonight instead of suffering through any more American Idol.
- After the attack, Grace misses this one yellow-eyed wolf who tried to help her. She hopes to see those yellow eyes again.
