The Sixth Sense Scene 32 Summary

  • Cole and Malcolm are walking with others toward what appears to be a post-funeral gathering.
  • They see someone that Cole knows is the ghost girl's sister.
  • In the house, ghost girl's picture is on a shelf in a frame, so it appears this grim gathering is for her.
  • We hear someone say that the "little one" is falling ill now, too. We assume that means the sister.
  • Cole and Malcolm sneak upstairs, and Cole enters a bedroom. There are a lot of creepy puppets, and the mood is pretty scary and tense. We have to wonder what in the world they're looking for.
  • Luckily, the ghost girl is lurking in the room, and she grabs Cole's leg from under the bed. She pushes a box toward him.
  • Cole carries the box downstairs. He seems to be looking for someone to deliver it to.
  • Suddenly, he seems to have found the man he's looking for. Malcolm watches from a distance.
  • Cole asks this guy if he's Kyra's daddy. When he gets the yes, he hands him the box saying it's for him, saying that Kyra wanted to tell him something.
  • The guy opens the box and there's a tape in it.
  • They turn on the tape, which appears to be a video of a puppet show. That explains all the creepy puppets in Kyra's room. The puppets are dancing. Okay, this isn't so bad.
  • Suddenly the puppet show is pulled away from the camera, and Kara jumps into bed as a woman brings her a tray. She pretends to be asleep.
  • The video is still rolling as the woman puts the tray directly in front of the camera (which apparently she doesn't know is there).
  • The woman pours what looks like floor polish into Kyra's soup.
  • Kyra's father realizes with shock that his wife was poisoning their daughter and keeping her sick.
  • He confronts his wife; all the conversation in the room comes to a sickening standstill as everyone turns to look.
