- She leaves the kitchen for a second, and when she returns, the cabinet doors and drawers are all open.
- Obviously freaked out (who wouldn't be—how is that even possible?), she asks Cole what he was looking for. It's very clear that she wants him to produce a realistic explanation for how all the cupboards had popped open in the space of 10 seconds, and he's totally happy to go along with it, saying that he had been on the prowl for "Pop Tarts."
- He's worried that she's thinking "something bad" about him. She reassures him, but it's clear that they're both kind of freaked out.
- His friend rings the doorbell and they leave for school.
