The 5th Wave Chapter 34 Summary

  • Evan brings Cassie some broth. He asks her more questions about what happened back at her camp.
  • He wants to know why she thinks Vosch and the other soldiers weren't human. He thinks the chances are slight that aliens would look just like people.
  • Evan's theories are reminding Cassie of her father, which makes her really uncomfortable.
  • Talking about all this stuff, Cassie gets freaked out. She thinks they need to move. Now.
  • Evan says she's not healthy enough to travel. Plus, it's freezing outside.
  • Cassie asks where they are, exactly. He says they're about sixty miles outside of Cincinnati, on his family's farm.
  • Cassie thinks she needs to get to Wright-Patterson to look for Sammy.
  • Thinking about her brother, Cassie's getting more upset. She cries, and Evan tries to comfort her.
  • They're hugging, and Cassie feels self-uncomfortable. This guy has seen her naked, after all (when she was unconscious).
