Flora and Ulysses Chapter 67 Summary

The Horsehair Sofa

  • Everyone sits down on the horsehair sofa to take a breather after a big evening.
  • While Dr. M heals Flora's mom, her mom confesses what she did, saying she was only trying to give Flora a normal life.
  • William points out that normal is just an illusion, though.
  • All Phyllis cares about now is making sure Flora is safe. Dr. M mentions this is because they're on the couch, and People share things and start talking more.
  • Flora asks her mom what's in her hand, and she responds that it's a poem that Ulysses wrote called "Words for Flora."
  • Let's read it.
