Gerardo Trujillo

Character Analysis

Pedro's lawyer, Gerardo, is like the Saul Goodman to Pedro's Walter White. He works for the Páramo family for years, but when the Revolution makes life tough he decides to take off to another town. He's too embarrassed to ask Pedro for a bonus, but feels like he deserves one. Pedro doesn't take the hint.

Trujillo is humiliated, but goes crawling to Pedro anyway to ask for the bonus. He accepts much less than what he asked for. His character is pathetic, and seems to have no morals. Wow. Lawyer stereotypes transcend cultural and historical boundaries, eh?
