How It All Goes Down
- At Krull, they are lead to a prison cell filled with deep carpets, delectable seafood, and comfy furniture.
- Garhartra, the Guestmaster, greets them and corrects their misgivings. They are not to be slaves or anything of the sort; they will instead be sacrifices and enjoy the rich, short life that such an honor entails.
- Rincewind decides death, even a comparably painless one, isn't to his liking. He flings a bottle at Garhartra, but the old man stops it in midair and then uses a spell to pin Rincewind to the wall.
- Twoflower wants to know why they were chosen to be sacrifices, but all Garhartra will say is that they were specified by some god.
- He tells them to sleep well, and then leaves, sealing the door with a spell.
