How It All Goes Down
- They climb a staircase in the tree while Druellae explains to Rincewind about the extra-dimensionality of the plants humans simply refer to as trees—it's a worlds-within-worlds kind of situation.
- Rincewind thanks her for rescuing him again and suggests he leave, when some he-dryads come up behind him. He realizes he hasn't exactly been "rescued."
- Druellae informs him that for the crime of hurting the tree, Rincewind will be executed. Lucky him, when compared to Twoflower's inevitable fate.
- Farther into the tree, a group of dryads are walking in a circle while others perform a chant. The circle spins quickly as the chant's pace increases, forming an image.
- Rincewind recognizes the building as Bel-Shamharoth's temple. Only it would be eight sided.
