How It All Goes Down
- The Arch-Astronomer asks the Launchcontroller if there is any news. There is none save for that Garhartra has recovered.
- With only thirty minutes left in the launch window, the Arch-Astronomer orders the ceremony to continue—they will execute the would-be sacrifices later.
- The ceremony gets underway, but the Arch-Astronomer notices something is amiss: The chelonauts aren't walking very heroically. In fact, one of them is waddling.
- By the time they reach the ladder to the bronze spaceship, the Arch-Astronomer knows they are frauds, so he raises his arm and enchants the words to Vestcake's Floating Curse.
- But the last words remain unsaid and a monster attacks the stadium.
- The Arch-Astronomer switches spells and launches the Infernal Combustion Enigma at the beast. The flame burns off the dome of seaweed to reveal an otherwise unharmed Luggage.
- Every magician, enchanter, and thaumaturgist in Krull joins the Arch-Astronomer in attacking Luggage. The mass of magic concentrated in a single area starts seriously distorting spacetime.
- None of this deters Luggage, though. He presses on in the Arch-Astronomer's unfortunate direction.
