How It All Goes Down
- Rincewind and Twoflower spend the day touring the city.
- A group of "highly skilled gawpers" (1.12.2) begin following them, hoping Twoflower will throw a few coins their way, or at least catch a glimpse of whatever odd thing the stranger will do next.
- Rincewind begins operating the camera, trying to figure out how it works.
- While trying to take a picture of Twoflower and a charm seller, Rincewind is informed by the camera that it won't work.
- An imp opens a door in the camera and shows him his painter's palette. The thing has run out of a pink, so it'll be monochrome pictures from here on.
- Twoflower suddenly vanishes, and Rincewind feels the point of a sword against his spine. It's Withel.
- Withel wonders what that thing is Rincewind is holding while his men fiddle with Luggage. There's a loud snap and a scream, and Rincewind books it, not looking back for fear of what he'll see.
