How It All Goes Down
- Twoflower sits in his cell, thinking about dragons. Suddenly, something is in there with him.
- And it's a dragon. The dragon says it'll obey, and Twoflower tests the theory by asking it to open the door. A little fire and that's that.
- Twoflower understandably wonders how he got a dragon of his own, but the dragon explains that he summoned it, so it came.
- A couple of guards choose this moment to appear, but they quickly calculate the odds of fire-breathing dragon against non-fire-breathing guards and flee.
- Twoflower names the creature Ninereeds.
- The tourist and his brand-spanking-new dragon tour the innards of Wyrmberg until they stumble across the throne room still occupied by the remains of Greicha.
- Greicha explains that Twoflower has the Power to create dragons with his mind, the same power Greicha had; he compliments Twoflower on just how nice his dragon is at that.
- He also explains that the Power only works near Wyrmberg in a type of "inverse square law " (3.13.74).
- Greicha warns Twoflower that if he wants to rescue his skinny wizard friend he should leave now, so Twoflower flies on Ninereeds toward the smell of other dragons.
