The Beautiful Fire
- All told, Vasudev gets to take a total of sixty-three souls back to Hell with him. That's way more than he originally bargained for.
- He doesn't even have to go to Estella in order to rub it in her face—she comes to him and starts yelling about how it's all out of proportion.
- Estella stares into the Fire, which is where all souls go to be reassigned, and feels a sense of longing. She's ready to die and be reborn again, but she needs to take care of Vasudev first.
- In the middle of their tête-à-tête in Hell, though, an unexpected guest shows up.
- It's Anamique, and she wants to know how she can get James back. Vasudev starts laughing and tells her that there's absolutely nothing she can do.
- Estella takes her hand and explains the whole curse and why she agreed to it. She apologizes to Anamique for her actions before telling the girl to drink a potion and sing.
- Vasudev immediately freaks out, but it's too late: Estella has traded James's life for her own. She dies listening to Anamique's song, and then her soul leads the girl into the Fire to find her one true love.
- As Anamique looks around at all the floating souls, Yama (the mysterious Lord of Hell) approaches her. He tells her that she can take James and all the other souls who died at the sound of her voice so long as she agrees to be the next Ambassador to Hell.
- Even though it's a frightening thought, Anamique quickly agrees and scoops up all of the souls. Then she finds her way out of Hell.
