Character Analysis
Lieutenant Dollimore is a platoon commander in the British Army, and the man in charge of Tristram's outfit once he gets shuffled from the training studio into a rifle company. Dollimore isn't about to take any of Tristram's rabble-rousing, either: when Tristram tries to convince the men that the entire war is a set-up, Dollimore fires a warning shot that nearly kills him. Sadly for him, Tristram was right all along, and Dollimore dies in a trench with all the other men in his platoon.
