How It All Goes Down
Same Day
- Though Leo tries to convince himself that "the two incidents had nothing to do with each other," the similarities are just too plentiful (3.19.1). What's more, Nesterov refers to it as a murder, which would be unthinkable back in Moscow.
- The girl's name was Larisa Petrova. Larisa lived a tough life, forced into prostitution at a young age. She was only fourteen when she was killed.
- Nesterov introduces Leo to their only suspect: Varlam Babinich. It turns out that the lock of blonde hair belonged to Larisa.
- Leo asks Babinich some questions. As they go on, Leo realizes that Babinich had only cut off a lock of Larisa's hair, not actually killed her. Regardless, he knows that the kid has no chance of making it out of here alive.
