- It's three days later, and Leo is finally returning to work. He's not feeling any better about the Brodsky situation, though.
- Kuzmin tells Leo that Brodsky confessed and "was executed last night" (2.9.16). Leo's new mission is to track down one of the individuals Brodsky claimed worked with him.
- That individual is Raisa Demidov, Leo's wife.
