How It All Goes Down
Rostov-on-Don, Same Day
- Nadya hates her dad's cat. Actually, it's probably more accurate to say that she's jealous because her father seems to love his cats more than he loves her.
- Fed up with that stinkin' feline, Nadya runs outside. She can see a figure in the distance, which makes her nervous, because her mom recently told her "not to talk to any strangers" (4.35.4).
- Nadya shyly greets the man as she runs past him, but he suddenly grabs her. Oh, no. Nadya's panic evaporates when she realizes that it's her dad: you know, good old papa Andrei.
- Andrei and Nadya walk back to the house, but Andrei immediately locks himself in his basement, coldly informing his family that he has another business trip in a few days.
- After locking the door, he pulls a glass jar from his briefcase and empties its contents—a human stomach. Andrei then fries it up and feeds the tasty treat to his feline friends. Meow Mix, indeed.
