- Derek hopes he won't burst into flame when he sticks his hand out in the morning light and, feeling like a real survivalist, he drinks rain collected in his helmet camera.
- In the reflective propeller blade, Derek checks to see if he has fangs. (No, of course he doesn't.)
- Disappointed that he isn't turning into a vampire, Derek daydreams about all the things he misses about his lifestyle, mainly the luxury and bossiness and feeling superior.

- Exhausted after fifteen minutes, Derek hides under some trees from the rain.
- Derek is hungry, so he tries some nasty berries but spits them out (this may be his first good idea ever).

- On the phone with the producer, Raven delivers the bad news that Derek is still lost, two of the four airboats they were using have been hijacked, and the police are now involved.
- Gerry is not upset about Derek not being found since he wants to replace him with a guy from New Zealand.

- Wahoo thinks about the risks involved in waving down the other boat, but chooses to do it anyway.
- Up on top of the safety cage, he waves and yells for the boat but the two men are looking away.
- When he sees who they are, Wahoo dives for the floor.
- Jared and Mickey are in that boat, and Jared has his gun out.
- Frantically, Wahoo pinches Link to wake up since he doesn't know how to drive the boat.
