- The police search begins once the rain clears.
- Raven hides from the media in Derek's coach.
- The narrator lets us know that the director leaked the bat bite to a magazine and fans and media were frantic to find out what was going on.
- In California, Gerry Germaine doesn't care about Derek or the media leak as long as it increases the viewers of the show.
- Raven tells him she is sure Derek is alive, and is stunned when Gerry hopes he isn't because of the buff New Zealand actor he wants to replace Derek in case he dies.
- Exhausted and scared, Wahoo's patience is now thin and Derek keeps complaining about how he's feeling. So Tuna gives Derek some of her magic pills and he falls asleep.
- Curious about the pills, Wahoo finally asks what they are, and Tuna explains that they are pure sugar but she calls them raguserup… pure sugar spelled backward.
- Wahoo doesn't understand, so Tuna tells him that when people are sick sometimes all it takes is them thinking they are taking medicine to get better.
- Wahoo leaves to check on Link because now that he's on his own without Mickey, he feels responsible for everyone else.
- Link is in the same place, hungry now and with his wound hurting a bit worse than before.
- When Wahoo tells Link that his airboat is not damaged, he is relived and shocked.
- While handing Wahoo his jacket back, they both hear a lot of airboats coming, so Link tells him to make a big campfire.
- Hiking along, Mickey thinks about his difficulty with understanding people and how to deal with Jared, who is still keeping up despite drinking so much beer.
- They hear the airboats coming, which makes Jared mad as he realizes his plan isn't working.
- So Jared tells Mickey his new plan: Make the police give him an airboat by threatening to kill Mickey, and then the two of them will take off to the highway where Jared will disappear.
- Playing along, Mickey suggests building a fire to attract the cops.
- When he searches for dry kindling for a fire, Mickey notices a little bare foot print and smears it.
- Jared finds Tuna's little flip-flop.
- Mickey wonders why the kids and Link are on the island; then he tells Jared they should find Tuna and walks in the opposite direction of the footprint.
- For some reason, Jared catches on to something and gets aggressive with Mickey, accusing him of planning to be a hero and get Jared on his own.
- Mickey denies it, but swings a punch at Jared that doesn't land on him.
