- Cam and Gonzo have to sneak out of the hospital without being noticed—they manage to dodge Glory just starting her rounds and creep down the stairwell to freedom.
- They hail a cab… and then realize they have no idea where they're going. Oops. Cam desperately looks for a sign and finally sees one in a feather on a Roadrunner Bus billboard. With that, they're off.
- At the depressing, urine-soaked bus depot, however, they are told there aren't any buses running until tomorrow morning. Bummer.
- But then, as luck would have it, the guy with the tinfoil cap from a few chapters ago tells them about a private charter bus that's waiting downstairs, destined for Mardi Gras. It must be a sign, right?
- The boys are headed to New Orleans.
