(5) Tree Line
Going Bovine isn't one of those books that is overly wordy or lofty in what it is trying to achieve, so it's not, like, rocket science. However, it does talk an awful lot about rocket science-y stuff. While understanding it all isn't necessary in order to enjoy the story, it can get a bit confusing. (Who here really gets String Theory, anyway?) Add in the fact that it has some emotionally difficult themes, and sticking with this book is definitely a bit of a hike at times. On the upside, that also means you get a better view.
