- D-503 is having dream. Whoa Nellie are those not allowed! In fact, "we, people of today, we know all too well that dreaming is a serious mental disease." (7.2)
- He wakes up and moves in time with all the other people around him, again making seriously freaky connection to The Lego Movie.
- He heads off to work, making the Integral even more soulless and precise that it was before.
- A member of the Guardians—S-4711—sits down next to him and asks about his day at The Ancient House. He tries to rat on I-330, but finds that he can't.
- He reads about a criminal organization flourishing in the city. "According to authentic information, traces of an organization, which still remains out of reach, have again been discovered. This organization aims at liberation from the beneficial yoke of the State." (7.18)
- After work, he heads out to his daily walk with O-90. He tells her he has another appointment, and she gets upset. He lies and tells her he is sick, when he intended to go to the Guardians.
- O-90 visits him later in his apartment. They don't have sex; they do math instead. (What is wrong with these people?!)
