- D-503 is meeting I-330. She's a little late and he freaks out. He's going a lot of that lately.
- She does arrive, however, and takes him out through the secret passage under the Ancient House to the land beyond the Green Wall. The doctor is with them!
- Trees, plants, the general unkempt nature of Nature… it all does his little head in! I-330 assures him that his nerves will pass.
- They travel to a clearing where they meet 300 or 400 primitive humans, naked and covered with hair.
- I-330 admonishes them to tear down the walls and tells them when the Integral takes flight they will be the ones on board. (Cavemen in Space... now that's a TV show we'd love to see!)
- A beautiful blonde woman gives D-503 a drink of something, and he takes a magical trip through time and space. He sees the Letters MEPHI on a rock in the middle of the clearing.
- He worries that they will be caught. I-330 tells him to relax and have another drink.
