June
- The next day Thomas takes June to go see some kind of Republic propaganda film. When they're there, he asks her where she was last night; she lies and tells him that she was up on the roof because she couldn't sleep.
- He tells her that he has a surprise for her—they're going to execute Day early. Instead of getting killed tomorrow night, they're planning on killing him tonight.
- Inwardly, June starts freaking out because this wasn't the plan, but on the outside she remains calm, even excited about the new execution date.
- She also feels nervous that Commander Jameson chose not to tell her about the new execution date—does that mean she suspects something?
