- Max lands a bit away from the group and creeps around the warehouse to see what's going on. She sees some teenage boys surrounding a girl who looks like she's only twelve; one of them is even holding a shotgun.
- Max steps out from behind the warehouse and the boys and the girl turn to look at her. When they see it's just another girl, they go right back to picking on the little girl, whose name is Ella.
- Max tells them to stop it, and they laugh at her, even when she says that she's planning to kick their butts. They obviously don't believe her… but they also don't know that genetic engineering has made her stronger than a grown man.
- She immediately rushes into action, kicking the leader in the chest (and breaking a rib), before grabbing the shotgun from another and hitting him in the head with it.
- Ella looks at her in confusion, and Max yells at her to run. As Ella runs off, the third guy grabs Max's arm and she punches him in the face.
- The guys get up and one of them grabs the shotgun again—Max takes off running into the woods as fast as she can.
