- Max has never felt like she's had a normal life, but spending the day with Ella and her mom, Dr. Martinez, makes her feel like just an average kid. It feels good.
- They eat breakfast together in the kitchen, and then Ella goes off to school. Dr. Martinez asks Max if she wants to talk about anything, but Max doesn't dare, and Dr. Martinez seems to respect her privacy.
- When Dr. Martinez asks Max if she can really fly, though, Max can't help but say that of course she can. She quickly tells Dr. Martinez that she has lighter bones, and bigger lungs, and a more efficient heart.
- Then she tells Dr. Martinez that she doesn't know how all of this happened to her. This last part's a total lie, of course.
