- She stuffs herself full of cookie dough and freshly baked cookies, and then tells Ella that she has to leave the next day.
- Ella is upset and tells Max that she's been like a sister to her. It makes Max feel worse about everything because she really does love Ella and Dr. Martinez.
- But she can't lie, and so Max tells Ella that she can't visit them in the future—she'd love to, of course, but it's just too dangerous.
