Exactly how steamy is this story?

You would think that having teenagers live together without adult supervision would lead to some scandalous events, but basically nothing happens with the characters in Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment. The flock members—including Max, our main girl—are far too busy staying alive and solving the mystery of their origins (since they're hybrids and all) to engage in any sexual shenanigans.
There's nary a mention of any romantic intentions—well, except for when Fang is injured and Max gives him a chaste kiss on the lips. But that's hardly worth mentioning. That said, maybe things will heat up in the next books.
