- They get to the church and start to wander around. Blue can't help but think about how she was here when she first saw Gansey… or at least his spirit.
- At one point, Gansey jokes that he could kiss Blue for helping him to find the ley lines, and she freaks out and skitters to the side.
- She has to explain to him that her mother always told her that if she kissed her true love, he'd die.
- Gansey laughs, thinking that this is just a typical mom warning, but Blue tells him that it's true and that her mom wouldn't lie. She also asks him not to tell Adam about it, which makes his eyebrows go up with interest.
- Gansey tells her why he is looking for Glendower. Apparently, when he was a kid, he was at some kind of event with his parents when he stepped on a nest of hornets; he was stung by hundreds of them, and he felt his heart stop.
- When his heart stopped, though, he heard a voice tell him that he would live because of Glendower, and that someone else on the ley line was dying so that he could live.
- That's why he's spent so much of his life looking for Glendower and the ley lines: He just knows it's his destiny to learn all about it.
- The energy reader starts leading them down some odd path, and as they walk, they accidentally stumble across what looks suspiciously like a human skeleton.
- That's because it is a human skeleton, and it appears to be wearing an Aglionby uniform. They find a wallet on it and Gansey gasps.
- The driver's license inside is Noah's.
