- It takes a few weeks before Noah's bones are finally buried and he receives his long overdue funeral.
- In the meantime, everyone goes back to school and finishes out the year, Adam moves into a room belonging to St. Agnes Church (because he doesn't want to live off of Gansey's charity), and the psychics all dismantle Neeve's things. They want to disable her, but she seems to have just disappeared… Who knows when she'll be back?
- At Noah's funeral, Noah's voice comes to Blue and tells her to say something to his family. She initially refuses because it will make her look insane, but he insists that she tell his mother that he's sorry for drinking her birthday schnapps.
- She relents and goes up to Mrs. Czerny, who does not seem pleased when Blue introduces herself as a psychic's daughter with a message from Noah. But when she mentions the birthday schnapps, Mrs. Czerny starts crying.
- Later that day, Blue and the boys dig up Noah's bones. They bury them on the ley line, hoping that it will give Noah more energy so that he can appear like he used to.
- He appears right away, looking more solid than they've seen him in a long time. Blue rushes forward to hug him, and he pets her hair, just like old times.
- At this point, Ronan tells them something bizarre. Where did he get Chainsaw the raven? Apparently, he took her from out of his dreams.
- And thus ends the first book in the series.
