- Blue wakes up almost an hour and a half before her alarm goes off and hears the voices of her Aunt Neeve and Maura talking on the staircase. They're talking about how Neeve is looking for someone, and how Maura doesn't want Blue to find out about it.
- After thinking about it for a moment, Blue considers that her mom might just be talking about her father, which would be pretty intriguing, especially since Maura has never told her anything about her father.
- As she gets ready for school, Blue can't help but get excited over the fact that she's going to meet the mysterious Gansey today. He's supposed to be her true love, after all.
- She flips though the big leather bound journal again, which states that the person who finds Glendower can ask a favor of him. Maybe if she could ask for a favor, she'd be able to keep Gansey alive—whoever he is.
- Before she goes downstairs, she stops by Persephone's room. Persephone is one of the psychics, and she tells her that Blue needs to find out if what the journal says is true.
