Character Analysis
Noah the Friendly Ghost
Noah is probably the least offensive of the raven boys. He's quiet, neat, and always nice to people. In a lot of ways, he's completely unremarkable… until Gansey and Blue discover that he's actually been dead for seven years:
"He's dead," Gansey said. His arms were tight over his chest. "You're really dead, aren't you?"
Noah's voice was plaintive. "I told you."
They stared at him, just feet away from Ronan. Really, he was so much less real than Ronan, Adam thought—it should have been obvious. (29.49-51)
This changes everything. Suddenly, Noah is the key to what happens with the ley lines, and how the ley line ritual works; he is the person who can link Gansey to the evil dude who is also seeking the ley lines—Barrington Whelk.
